Social Media Week's #InstagramYourCity Competition Ends - See London's 1000+ Entries
The wonderful Social Media Week competition, #InstagramYourCity, where entrants submitted edited photos of this September's 15 Social Media Week cities, has come to an end!
Running from 1st May til 30th June, here in London we've had over 1000 fabulous entries, all of which can be viewed on our two Pinterest boards:
The selection process for choosing the overall winning entry has begun and will start by a winner from each of the 15 participating cities being chosen, before an overall winner is decided - he or she will then get to choose a Social Media Week Sept '12 city to travel to for this September's festival.

We are currently looking for a permanent Data Planner. The right person for this role will have proven experience of generating data driven, actionable insight to inform communications strategies. You’ll have worked on campaigns from segmentation, selections and testing strategies through to evaluation. You’ll bring with you a passion for data, amazing attention to detail with strong analytical and strategic skills. As one of our internal experts you’ll also need to share you wisdom as part of our Good Academy programme. We are looking for someone to come in on a 6 month contract. You will need to have managed the full digital process from scoping through to build, testing and deployment on a wide variety of projects using MS Project. You will have successfully built websites, banners, email and social media campaigns for budgets ranging from £10 to £100k. We help our clients by redesigning and maintaining their websites, delivering large-scale content migrations, and devising strategies that enable them to reach their audience efficiently and cost-effectively. We also provide content audits, copywriting, social media consultancy and SEO. Digital editors will be comfortable working in partnership with UX and design teams, clients and content owners; they should be able to demonstrate the range of skills needed for effective content handling: proven copyediting and proofreading expertise proficiency with content management systems and the use of metadata sound editorial judgement plus a good grasp of website structure and accessibility the ability to write for a range of channels and apply SEO experience with content migrations and repurposing a clear, accurate writing style. The role involves translating business requirements into usable and intuitive on and off-line designs for a variety of pre- and post-launch products for a professional scientific audience. Aspects of this role include creating wireframes for new features and sections, graphical interface design, and ensuring that styles and colours are consistent across all F1000 product lines. Utilising a high standard of creative skills to support the Senior Designer, you will also ensure business priorities, objectives and messages are translated into effective design concepts which are audience appropriate and form the basis of successful marketing activities. Candidates must be self-motivated, flexible, have excellent design skills and enjoy working as part of a diverse team.
