Xchangeteam are launching their Freelancer of the Year Awards 2009 and they’re looking for entries across the spectrum of Marketing, Media and Communications.
Since their first incarnation back in 2003, the awards have been recognising the work of freelancers in these mediums across the UK.
Nominations can come from peers, colleagues, an appreciative manager or from the freelancer themself so if you know an exceptional freelancer, or indeed if you are one, get in touch. To date the highest number of nominations for the awards are 350 but Xchangeteam are looking to beat that in 2009.
Categories include:
- Advertising and Design
- Creative and Account Management
- Digital Excellence
- Editorial
- Events
- Marketing and PR
- Communications & Public Affairs
The industry leading judging panel chooses six category winners along with an Overall Winner and if you’re lucky enough to be a finalist it could be a much-needed profile boost, in an often challenging freelancing career.
For last year’s winner designer Anna Cowie, the choice to go freelance was the best possible move,
“I made the choice to make freelancing a career rather than just a quick fix and have found it to be a fantastic way to share ideas, learn from some of the best in the business and develop my own creativity.”
If you know a gut-busting freelancer who deserves some recognition for all their hard work, get in touch with Xchangeteam and put your nomination to them.
It’s not just Hugh Hefner who can work in his dressing gown.
