Description

what is i-Design? i-Design is an essential one day conference and showcase for anyone with an interest or passion for interactive design and the digital arts.

is it real? This is the question this year's conference theme asks our line up of renowned speakers from the interactive design world. In just one day, industry voices including Adrian Shaughnessy, David Taylor, Tali Krakowsky and Malcolm Garrett will offer their experiences and vision on:

– the way our physical and virtual worlds continue to merge and the impact this is having on our daily lives

– how and why people engage with technology and how interactive design is enhancing the user experience – emerging trends, pushing boundaries and exploring new possibilities – what is next for the interactive design industry and how we get there don't miss – groundbreaking and innovative work showcases – 3D and 5D design – future trend predictions – expert opinion and debate

You can also see work, commissioned by Lewis Sykes of Cybersonica, from artists presenting pieces created especially for i-Design 09 and we welcome back Martyn Ware's Future of Sound and Ross Phillips from SHOWstudio who will showcase digital art installations and host informal debates.

As part of the London Design Festival, i-Design 09 is delighted that this year a team from 5D: The Future of Immersive Design led by Chris Scoates and Tali Krakowsky will convene one of the day's key strands.

This year also sees the return of the Portfolio Clinic giving recent graduates and emerging designers a chance to show their portfolio to digital media professionals.

i-Design 09 is produced by Tara Solesbury of Creative:Strategy:Production, and Ian Delaney & Jenny Tyler of NMK, and boasts renowned interactive designer Malcolm Garrett as its Creative Director.
