Nick Brown is co-founder of Crossplatform, one of the leading re-sellers of AR from Total Immersion.

Since its inception, Crossplatform has been involved in a variety of commercial projects with clients ranging from Paramount Pictures; via JC Decaux; into Hugo Boss.

The company specialises in webTV, AR, DooH and content to mobile.

With their extensive background in media, Crossplatform’s primary objective is to help clients communicate with their consumers - in the right place at the right time in the most appropriate manner - which could be translated as ‘how can we make AR less of a gimmick and more of a sustainable (read commercial) campaign toolset?’

Crossplatform is privately-owned with operations in the UK, Australia and India.

Nick was previously CEO of a2a plc, a pioneer of webTV services, and prior to that was Head of IT at Sky where he was involved in the design and launch of the ubiquitous red-button!

“Standup” sessions

We’ll be hearing from @richardleyland @mamk and Phil Archer amongst others.

If you want to stand up and talk to audience with an ASK of your own See below:

How mixer* works:
This network orientated event will start with a 10 minute keynote and then be opened up to 30 second 'stand ups'.  Anyone who comes to the event will be eligible to take advantage of the stand up time, however to get on the list you must have a completed profile on the mashup* site with a picture, profile and web links.  Once this is done you can let Emma (emmaatmashupevent [dot] com) know you want to do a stand up.ONLY THOSE WHO PRE-REGISTER WITH EMMA WILL BE ALLOCATED A SLOT.

The 'stand up' slots are for you to describe what you NEED from the mashup* community (e.g a new CTO, funding, advisors, mentors, consultants, partners, etc). You have 30 seconds to speak (no slides, no demos) and the 'crowd' then have a minute to respond to the ask. Note: you can also simply ask a question rather than describing a fully-fledged need as such. The idea is that these little interactions will trigger more useful engagements after the 'stand up' session.
