Description

The market for mobile phone applications is growing at a rapid rate – revenues are expected to rise from £2.7Bn to £19Bn in 2013. Apps are changing the way people live their lives and increasingly, the way business gets done and the sector’s frenetic expansion has created many challenges for developers, manufacturers and telecommunication companies.

In such a crowded market and with many barriers to future growth, how can the UK best support this sector?

On March 22nd, NESTA will host a panel discussion to explore current issues and new developments affecting the sector. Please join us as Nigel Kendall, Technology Editor, the Times; Ilja Laurs, Chief executive of GetJar; Billy Wright, Global Director Partnership Management, Nokia and Mark Rock, CEO and Founder of AudioBoo, explore the current state of the app economy and how to unlock its future potential.
