City University London invites you to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 with an evening dedicated to digital marketing and challenges presented by current and advancing practices in this rapidly evolving area of marketing. The evening will explore and discuss best practice and future developments in the digital marketing sector as well as concerns and obstacles that are faced by DM practitioners.

Trends in Digital Marketing

Martin Deal MBA will be speaking about emerging trends in digital marketing. Martin is a DM practitioner with a vast experience in SME and start-up sectors as well as higher and further education. He is currently lecturing in Digital Marketing and Advanced Digital Marketing at City University London's short courses programme.

Making Millions: Social Media for Entrepreneurs 

Iain Scott, Managing Director of London-based web design and digital marketing agency Base Creative, will talk about the power of social media. There are few quick wins with social media, Usually, it's about engagement and managing an online relationship. But how can you leverage that to make money and use social media in an entrepreneurial way?

Iain Scott has worked with the BBC, the RSPCA, Damien Rice, BNP Paribas, AVG and many others. He is in his 10th year of business and has over 12 years' experience in the industry. Iais is a regular speaker at City University London's short courses in Digital Marketing.

Youth Marketing: A Higher Education Perspective

Ryan Taylor, Head of Digital at City University London, will describe how the University mobilises the latest principles of digital marketing to draw the next generation of students to City in the times when the global market for Higher Educations becomes increasingly competitive. He will explore the pivotal role of digital marketing in helping organisations to understand young people and persuade them to invest their time and money with them. 

Speakers' presentations will be followed by Q&As and networking.
