Order out of Chaos

Event Info

Wed 4 Dec, 2013 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Museum of Science & Industry
Liverpool Road, Castlefield
Manchester, M3 4FP, UK
Cost: Free (RSVP Required)

Description

The topic for discussion is based around Harvey Nash’s annual CIO Survey (you can download the full PDF here). The survey is a useful way to catch up with what CIOs and CTOs feel are the latest trends and issues – mobile being one of the top ones.

You will be the first to hear the headline results of this year’s UK and Ireland Technology Survey as we present the findings, have an evening of debate, thought leadership, Q&A and networking with refreshments provided.

The over-arching theme of this year’s report is ORDER OUT OF CHAOS.  This is the ability successful technology professionals have developed in order to absorb ever-increasing volumes of information, from more numerous technology sources, in the backdrop of current Chaos in the tech world; to process all the muddled material we receive, and to then structure it clearly into meaningful priorities that our technology teams can understand, pursue, and deliver successful outcomes.

Panel:

  • Martin Jones – CTO at Lastminute.com
  • Helen Keegan - Mobile Media Specialist, Founder at Heroes of Mobile and Swedish Beers
  • Martin Bryant – Editor in Chief at The Next Web
  • Doug Ward - Co-Founder & CEO of Tech Britain & TechHub Manchester

6pm onwards, 4th December 2013
