Description

With ‘unlocking the power of data’ a key pillar of the UK Digital Strategy, but with concerns about progress in realising its potential, and with the Industrial Strategy expected to be published this Autumn, delegates will assess challenges and opportunities for innovation and improving services, supporting wider adoption, and the economic environment post-Brexit.

Policymakers and key stakeholders will also consider the technological, legal and regulatory challenges for big data collection and use, including issues surrounding consumer trust, skill shortages, and key considerations on consumer privacy in light of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the incoming Data Protection Act.

Delegates will discuss the latest innovations and usability tools that will enable wider adoption and more effective use of analytics tools by organisations across sectors and of varying scales. They will also assess the latest commercial opportunities, including how organisations are utilising data analytics to gain key insights and advantages and how the data results can help reduce costs, increase consumer loyalty and improve efficiency.

Further sessions will examine the latest regulation and policy issues as the UK leaves the EU and how the incoming EU GDPR regulations and the Data Protection Act 2018 will affect the industry as a whole.
