BUT, even though JavaScript: works fine from HTML for Netscape 2+ and

IE3+.

It does NOT work when executed from within FLASH.

If my and others tests are incorrect this would be great, but provide a

Flash example to show us how this can work from Flash.

Go there with MSIE 3 95/NT (or Opera) and you will get this error and no

function:

  'Internet explorer cannot open the Internet site javascript:JSTest()

The protocol specified in this address is not valid. Make sure the

address is correct, and try again.'


Your reference is a good one, but it makes no claim that the JavaScript

protocol will work from a plug-in like Flash in all browsers.
