Use Nemo or Shout3d for 3d on the web;-).

Seriously, 3d and vector are uneasy partners at best. You
can reduce file size by a: optimizing curves after
vectorizing, rendering as flat or toon shaded from your 3d
tool before vectorizing, cutting down on the frame #,
and/or all of the above.

All this will reduce the photorealism of your 3d art,
however. For simple shapes like 3d text, it is often best
to trace the 3d art by hand in flash. All in all its a
trade off: more detail = complex curves = large files,
reduce detail to reduce file size.

Meanwhile, start learning one of the real web 3d tools that
are finally starting to mature...
