One other slightly nasty approach: use an FSCommand to start a
javascript function which flags the fact that the user has seen the
animation sequence in a cookie. Then have links in the movie call
another javascript function that directs flash to go to the last frame
of the animation sequence if the flag in the cookie is found.

Note one thing to watch out for in development: IE3 only writes cookies
on documents that are retrieved via HTTP (ie. are live on a
webserver...).
