Thanks for the thought Mike,
It's not just data I'm interested in. A useful example of this
functionality is an application which uses Perl on a Unix
server to do some text processing and ASP on an NT server
to do SQL Server interaction, all from within the same
Flash movie and without reloading. Another use I see is
to dynamically set the URL to call in order to route the
request based on load. This would allow you to maintain
responsiveness across several inexpensive hosts.
