Multiple Element Modifications

Okay,


So I've learned thanks to this list how to use text as symbols and modify

elements for fading effects, etc. Very good. Now I want to know how to

apply muliple effects, say for example a tint change and a brightness

change to the first appearance of said symbol, to tween to the "real" look

of the symbol? 


Doesn't seem to work. Does it?
