Thanks for the link, Bob. There's a parallel discussion in the Fireworks
newsgroup, too.

XML is great as a transport format, but I'm not sure of it as a delivery
format. Extensible Markup Language files prioritize comprehensibility over
compactness... shooting from the hip, a Flash movie described as XML might
be ten to twenty times larger.

Have you been looking into XML, yourself...?
