Nigel's advice is right-on. the main distinction you need to make,
however, is you should be asssigning actions to the button's instance on
stage, rather than in the button edit mode. Instance actions include a
greater range of mouse event options (rollover, rollout, press, release,
drag over, drag out). Then make the animation a MC that's external to the
button and use TellTarget as Nigel suggests.
