One of the main reasons (if not *the* reason)

I've hosted quite a few intranet apps off my PC using
PWS and Access, then SQL 7 when it was available on
the '95/98 desktop. This comes in handy when
corporations are picky about what's on the corporate
servers or they work too slowly. :)

Works great!

Disclaimer: I would NOT recommend this for a public
web solution.

If you need any ASP specific help, feel free to
contact me. In the commercial world, I create
everything with ASP/SQL Server, even for the *nix
environement using Chilisoft, but here at home I have
more fun playing with Linux running PHP and/or
Servlets, and MySQL or PostgresSQL for the database.
:)
