FLASH: OT: Need help with Fireworks/Flash

I just started playing with Fireworks 3 over the weekend, because I want to

bend text around a circular path so that I can animate it in a Flash

movie.  Fireworks doesn't seem to have a circle tool the way Flash does,

and when I use the rectangle tool (with corners at 100%), Fireworks doesn't

seem to recognize the "rectangle" as a path that the text can attach to.

It's very tedious trying to draw a circle with the pencil or pen tools

freehand (maybe I should try Freehand???!).
