well, i am a fine art not ecommerce type, so i am not sure how valuable this
input is...but i really like it, most of it anyway. if barneys was trying
to make themselves look like they were "NOT your father's store," they
have succeeded. to me, this is what this site is about, branding themselves
as appealing to a different market than their usual customer base.

sure they will sell you something if you want. but i agree with some of the
others, i don't think it is their main thrust. etoys.com it ain't.

what i hated about it is the (to me) unnecessary pop up windows (like in
cosmetics) and some of the less than appealing drawings, especially in
cosmetics.
