We use both PC and Mac. However the file was originally created on Mac and
so it would be easier to work with that (You know how the fonts screw up
when you switch platforms). On the Mac you can choose the codec for sound
compression, but as you noted below, there does not appear to be a choice in
Flash for video compression that why there is in Adobe Premier.

I have called my Film house and they are looking for a an AVID Codec that I
can use on the Mac.

are we talking pc or mac here? when i export a quiktime from flash on a pc
i am given no choice of codecs. maybe that is the real problem. also, for
webvideo/quicktime/mac sorenson is far & away the codec of choice. which
codec do you prefer then?

YES they can import the file, just ask them to send you the avid codek and
drop it in your system folder. Next time you export from flash use that
codek for the compression.

How long (in seconds) is the file? That may limit you as to how you should
do this, but with that info I can help you out a bit...
