I'm of the belief that none of these awards has risen above the mush to
become an industry standard. Internet Magazine had their own, now they're
part of Yell's, Bafta is only just waking up to the web, as opposed to the
games, and Revolution and NMA are associated with specific markets. Anyone
fancy creating an independent unified awards bash before the Webbys take
over here as well?

Don't think anyone has mentioned The Yell Awards yet. Generally in July at
Bafta.

The folks at New Media Age and indeed Revolution have awards. But it
depends by what you mean as "award", there's lots of sites that offer
"awards" as a way for them to draw traffic to their own sites and these
"awards" then to have no real merit.

Best ones tend to be ones that are recognised by the industry in general.

And please feel free to share your list with the list as I'm sure others
would be keen to find out more as well!

[Sam says: if you post up links to the various award sites, I'll happily add
them to the UKNM links page
