May I take a moment to recommend the joys of Analog (http://www.analog.cx/)?
We've tested several packages here over the years, and it's the only tool
that's been able to stand up to the punishment of munching through our
server logs. (Some un-named proprietary tools that we looked at were unable
to even import the data in a reasonable timeframe, let alone process them.)

What it doesn't have is a pretty front end for management to look at. I hear
that Report Magic (http://www.wadsack-allen.com/digitalgroup/reportmagic/)
will perform this function for you - haven't tried it myself though. But
it's got nothing over and above someone with a copy of Excel and a clue.

Both of these tools are also free. (People with a clue may be more
expensive.)

And, for the benefit of those on the list new to web traffic analysis, those
all-important introductions to what you can and can't find out from
logfiles:

http://www.statslab.cam.ac.uk/~sret1/analog/docs/webworks.html
http://www.nlc-bnc.ca/pubs/netnotes/notes57.htm

So don't even think of buying a package from someone who claims that you can
find out user numbers and session data with their package. You can't.
