Peter

I'm sure we all agree. andresathotmail [dot] com for example is so swamped that
unless I know there's going to be a specific mail there (eg
subscription/password reminder for a site) I just routinely kill everything
in the inbox (about 150 spams per week). I rely a lot on the MSN messenger
doodad y'see, so it's the only reason I keep the account alive because it
requires you to have a Hotmail account.

Anyway, rather than hop from one dummy email address to another, there's a
website which will give you a temporary email alias for as long as you like.
Forwards messages to your 'real' address and then expires.

Head-slappingly obvious idea -perhaps there are other people doing this, but
it's the only one I've come across.

<paranoia>
unless of course they're just part of an international conspiracy to collect
'real' email addresses...
</paranoia>
