I think it is a fantastic idea and would gladly invest money in it with the
proviso that it floats in less than 3 months so we can all get rich and
abandon ship.
Was reading an article from the New York Times today (thanks Mom) where a
bunch of dot-coms were profiled and ranked according to the number of staff
they have recently laid off (as a percentage of total staff employed.)
The article wasn't too doom and gloom, but what amazed me most was that most
of the ex-staff interviewed seemed to say the same thing:
"I'm pissed off because I left a good job for this. They attracted me with a
significant salary raise and stock options, promising me riches when they
floated. The options are now worthless and I am out of a job."
So, they jumped ship because they were offered more money, and the potential
of being able to retire within a few months. And the investors got twitchy
and pulled out, you say? Hmm. My heart is indeed bleeding.
