what comes fist, your users or your ad revenue?

priority number one must be to keep your existing users happy, and attract
new users *through the quality of your site's content and functionality*.

sorry Ray, but I fear the quality of a site's banners is not a great draw
for many users (other than to members of this list).

too many sites have their content, design and structure driven by the ad
sales team. Such is the panic-driven commercial reality for many UK
players - probably cos their capital bases are too small to accept heavy
short-term losses in return for long-term customer loyalty and thus
sustainable profits.
