Non of them work in the Slot drives (i-mac I think and some Compaq's,
although I think Compaq have stopped using slot drives as they are prone
to suck CDs in and not spit them out again). Also there are some
problems with IBM Thinkpads where there isn't always sufficient
clearance under the spinning disk.

You are correct about the 40 MB versions, they do use non standard parts
of the CD and are not guaranteed to work on all CD-ROM Drives.

Also worth noting that the injection moulded ones do not use the CD
specification polycarbonate, and may not have the longevity that CDs
should have (also feel a bit thin and flexible).

As far as cracking is concerned, yes they do crack, but only if
abused/bent, hint don't put them in your back pocket :-)
