Hardly surprising it took AOL so long where you consider their feeble
advertising. Demon is as bad with their crap@advertising campaign. The best
thing about Freeserve's approach (and Tesco ) is they they are breaking the
prejudice that the Internet is for Tefal-heads and concentrating instead on
creating an offer for ordinary people. Tesco are doing it by offering
Internet in a friendly package, Freeserve by offering it FOC.

I don't know if free access paid for by advertising will work, but if it
gets more people used to the idea of the Internet it will be worth the
experiment.

On the subject of ordinary people, why are there not any decent sites of any
size aimed at women in the UK?
