I must say that Homesite for the PC, and good ole BBEdit for the Mac are still the best in my
opinion. They allow you to have control over the code (without doubling the size of it aka
Dreamweaver), with all the necessary 'speed' functions such as s 'n' r, quick tables/links /img
src/ etc, plus a neat 'snippet' facility for quickly inserting necessary parts of code you have
made before, WYSIWYG (spit) if you need it, preview, and code checking to point out
when you've missed a <td>.

IMHO Dreamweaver is a wonderful WYSIWYG program, but shouldn't be used for
anything more than a quick mock-up on a serious project, if at all. More important than the
program is always the coders. Any coder worth their salt wouldn't risk their rep putting their
name to a page with an 'mm' script in it...

But then I'm just old fashioned I guess...

<DREAM>What about a program that can take a PSD, determine which are
foreground/layered/background images, produce tight code from a Macromedia style
timeline, optimise everything, and produce pages to the specified browser, with downgraded
pages for backward compatability?</DREAM>

Oh well...
