I think the other thing to remember is that use of the Internet is a real

factor in people buying their first PC. I assume that if you go to Dixons

and buy a PC, you won't have to install the Freeshare software: "Just take

it home, plug it in, and turn it on - no need for tricky installation of

software or any of that techno-malarkey". That's an attractive option for

the punter who 'doesn't want to get confused by all this jargon'.


Still, a quid a minute for the punter who does get confused seems a bit

steep...
