Hi Sam
(plug)
Our software, AWAKE 2000, is a cost-effective and user-friendly content
management application. Any website developed by any web authoring tool can
be integrated into our software and become a fully editable website in under
an hour. The structure remains intact but the text, links and images can be
updated by any non-technical user in a WYSIWYG environment straight from the
browser. Since the software does not have to be installed in the machine
being used, your editors can be in geographically independent and remote
locations. Flash text files can also be edited by non-technical users if
you would like the AWAKE 2000 with Flash version. Security can be set at
the site, page or paragraph level and all changes are logged in the report
files by date, change made, and user. You also have the ability to publish
online and all changes go via an administrator before being published. The
price list is on the website under "products" - "purchase" and starts at
870.

For an online demo, we can call you and direct you to a specific URL where
you can play around with the software. The demo on the website is not a
demo of the actual application but gives people a feel of how it is like to
edit online :o)

Please call Deymo on 020 8782 7470 and we will be very happy to give you an
online demonstration, or let me know when you are free and we can give you a
call.
(/plug)

cheers!

Subject: UKNM: Content Management Systems

Afternoon all...

I was wondering if some of those more deeply involved in content management
could provide some help. I've been looking into CMS for a company I'm
working with at the moment. The budget is tight and precludes the
heavyweight options of Mediasurface, Vignette and Broadvision, which also
have functionality far in excess of that required.

Does anyone have views on:

- Portal-in-a-Box from Autonomy
- PortalOne from Verity
- Spectra from Allaire
- eGrail (Open Source)

The Autonomy and Verity offerings are probably also outside the price
range. Have I missed any other options? I have a nagging feeling there are
a couple of other well established options?

Any help and views much appreciated.

Toodle Pip
