Subject: UKNM: Acrobat/ PDF

The quality, etc of a PDF document is completely unrelated to the software
used. Everything should 'acrobat' to the same quality as the original items
you're using (ie. quality/resolution of graphics, anti-aliased text, etc).
You can acrobat from Word, Quark, Photoshop, Excel, pretty much any
programme. You simply use "Print to File" rather than to a printer.

I highly recommend buying Acrobat 4 as you can also use it to edit pdf files
(if they're not protected), copy and paste text, and insert active weblinks
and hotspots, links to other media files or documents, and embed
images/movies/audio. Note that Acrobat 3 has most of the same functionality,
if you're not getting overly complicated, and if you can get a copy of it
anywhere.

Good luck!
Tina
