Affinity Lab Added to Digital Mission Washington Line-Up

We’re delighted to announce more additions to the Digital Mission to Washington DC line-up including: a breakfast session at Affinity Lab, with great new speakers from iStrategy Labs, Big Window Labs, as well as final night event sponsors Beekeeper Group and Rock Creek now on board.
Affinity Lab is a startup incubator space for the booming community of Washington based businesses, non-profits and start-ups. Affinity Lab describes it as a rather cool “shared office space that meets incubator that meets entrepreneurial club-house.”
Combined with events at the US State Department, the State of Maryland, Microsoft and Deloitte the mission programme will expose UK firms to the full breadth of the digital scene in Washington, from the US government’s top digital players through to start-ups and agencies, potential partners and collaborators, building links between Washington and the UK.
The group will meet for breakfast to hear about the vibrant start-up scene in DC and the incubator programmes on offer. While at Affinity Labs, the companies will hear from Clay Johnson, founder of Big Window Labs and the CEO of @iStrategyLabs, Peter Corbett. This visit will provide the mission companies a chance to see the incubator facilities available in DC and meet some of the city's leading start-ups.
As well as this valuable addition to the programme we also have some news on the closing networking event, taking place on Thursday night. The venue is still under wraps but we can reveal we are working with Justin Herman, OpenGov, Tech, and Innovation advisor for Federal Agencies, on the final details and can also announce that Rock Creek and Beekeeper Group are sponsoring the event. So be prepared for a good send off!
There’s still more to come - we’ll be making another exciting announcement later this week revealing the details of a specific session with a top federal agencies. The location and logistics for the event are still under wraps but keep your eyes on our blog, Twitter and Facebook.
Digital Mission to Washington, DC is really shaping up to be one not-to-be missed. The contacts, representatives and businesses delegates are set to meet during the week will provide unique access inside the government world.
Take full advantage of what’s on offer - there’s still a few days to get your application in.  If you’ve got any questions or want to chat through the trip, drop us an email or call us on +44 (0)20 7183 2923.
