FLASH: flash and generator variables

Hi...


Can I set variables in actionscript that can be used in generator objects in

the same movie?


eg...If i set a variable in actionscript?

var1 = blob;


And then in "insert symbol" if i specify the symbol name as {var1} will it

output as blob?


If not, how do I create variables in actionscript that i can reference in

generator?
