Subject: ScreenSaver Win

Hi,

with regard to the ScreenSaver question, it is to note that any program
(that is, any executable file) can be used as a screensaver in Windows95.
The .scr extension of screensaver files hides a very normal .exe that
accepts a few command line parameters.

There is an incredibly easy way of incorporating a .swf file in a
screensaver, though it's a dirty way and it works only on ms-ie powered
systems: create a new form in visual basic, add a "browser" object (that
is, as many of you know, an instance of Microsoft Internet Explorer). In
the Form_Load event, maximize everything so that the screen is fully
covered, and let the browser window navigate to your .swf file. You could
even let the user configure which .swf file to play.

That's it! You're done.

Bye!
Marcantonio
