Gil--

I have been struggling with animated buttons since the release of flash2,
so as soon as Flash3 was available, the first thing I did was create a few.

I'm not sure this is what you're looking for, but I'll tell you what I did,
and hope it helps you.

If you are looking for a button to animate in it's different states, create
each animated state in it's own movie clip. Then create a button, and place
each movie clip in the different frames of the button. Drag the button on
the stage, and then "Test Movie" (be sure to turn button states ON). You
should end up with a button with animated states.

I know this is extremely simplified. I tested buttons that moved on paths
on the screen, and found that they are active throughout the movement!!
(You don't know how lond I had to stuggle with that in Flash2, and finally
concede to doing the button animation in Director.) Once you've figured one
out, the rest is just creative thinking, Good luck, I hope I helped!
