Hi all!
I've been using Flash for a couple of months now, but some of the simple
operations still elude me. I'm sure there must be a better way to work
than what I am currently doing.
I've just finished a 5 minute Flash movie highlighting the features of
our newest product release and I've had all of the text translated into
German. As you probably already know, written German is MUCH longer
than its English counterpart, so I've had to do a bit of realigning and
juggling of text to make it all fit (I use the same base movie and just
replace the English text with German text).
After each bit of information, I have the text fade out using alpha
settings and a motion twin. What I am currently doing is moving the
text, then having to go through and delete every key frame that follows
so that it will realign itself to the new text position, but of course
when I do this, I loose my alpha settings and must then go back again
and redefine them. Isn't there an easier way to move a block of text
and have it realign in all of the following frames? I've tried using
various onion skinning techniques, but it's always a bit hit and miss.
Sometimes it selects all of the frames I want it to, and other times,
the frames are highlighted, but the change only effects the frame where
the cursor is. Please, tell me there's an easier way!
Many thanks!
