I hope that John McK (and any others who care) took my response in 

the vein in which I intended it:


(1) I'd referred to my newsgroup experience and "training" in that 

original post.


(2) Next thing I know, someone (John) is "taking a poke at me" ...


     ... common NG behavior; happens on NGs all the time, usually IN FUN.


(3) I jabbed back, all within the "play". (In my mind, at least.)


Had it not been on an "OT" thread, I wouldn't have.
