This only applies if it is the main window you are trying to close, and to
the best of my knowledge, there is no way to auto-close the main window of a
browser if it is the only one up.

The only drawback of closing the window with javascript is
that the browser will prompt a dialog box asking you if you
are sure you want to close the window. If anyone has a script
that closes an IE 5.1 (PC) browser window without asking I would
be greatly appreciative.
