Hello Karin,
I'm animating a movie clip in a timeline. It's a simple motion teen. When I
execute a script to set that movie clip's alpha setting to 50, the timeline then
refuses to move that movie clip. It's as if programming any property settings
takes control away from the timeline (like in Director). I'm hoping there is a
call (as in Director) that will give control back to the timeline. Any clues?

Thanks.

Hi Michael,
I'm not sure what the problem is but there shouldn't be a problem animating a
graphic if you change it's alpha property. What do you mean by animate? You
can't really animate a symbol on the main time line except to tween it...move,
rotate, etc. What exactly are you trying to do that isn't working?

animate the symbol in the timeline. This seems analogous to setting the
puppetSprite to true in Director which places > control over the sprite from the
timeline to lingo.

Even after setting it back to 100.
