Subject: | FLASH: OT: Self Booting Multimedia Kiosk |

Hey everyone, I'd really appreciate your help on this one.
We have a client that we are in the process of re-vamping their kiosks. One
of the stipulations they have in the meantime is that we develop a looping
multimedia attraction until we have completed our development. THe
stipulation - they are using proprietary versions of Win95 which will NOT
run .exe files. I was wondering if there was a workaround to this and what
not... note: no .exe files will run on the system which means I won't be
able to install Flash Player or anything like that on the systems.
It has to be easy for store managers to do this themselves as their are
currently about 125 kiosks to be updated. One suggestion my boss had was to
create a bootable CD with DOS or Linux on it and then run the multimedia
loop. I am thinking Linux is the way to do this but... aside from that I am
lost.
Any information or any pointers in the right direction would be GREATLY
appreciated, on or off-list.
TIA!
Jason
