You may have to load each color chip involved in the gradient into your
color palette (sorry, I've been FreeHand-only for a couple of months now so
the Illustrator is a little rusty) and convert it to RGB by switching the
palette to RGB, then drag the resulting color (tweak if necessary) back onto
the gradient, over the prior CMYK gradient. That should work I imagine.
