Hi.
I do not like to use timer somehow..
what I do is counting frames.
Let say you have your drop down menu and it is a MC with two parts "open"
and "close"
in the first part when it is opened you loop on three frames.
first frame: set variable: x =1
second frame: set variable x = x+1
fourth frame: if x<30---will loop 30 times
go to and play 2
else
go to and play "close"
(untested)but you can get an idea
another thing is to put invisible button on top of your MC and on rollout
count the frames (or use timer) to close your drop down MC
Good luck

-Hi all,
-I am trying to create a drop down menu system for a client.
-Each main header has a number of sub headings. I want to be able to click
on
-the main header and for the sub headers to drop down but keep the other
main
-headers visible. When you click on another main header the previous
navigation
-would retract and the nwe sub headers would be displayed. I ahve managed
this
-as a flyout menu system thanks to a tutorial I found but I am at a bit of a
-loss as to what to do here. IF anyone could offer any advice or know of a
-tutorial that could clarify this I would be very grateful..
-Thanks
Tom
