FLASH: cross platform fonts

hey flashers,


this is off topic....but I have a font on my mac...in ATM Deluxe...that I 

want to put on my windows machine....i put it in my ftp to transfer it over 

and when i put it in the font folder....it didn't work.........vice versa 

when i tried to put a windows font on my mac...


will someone please explain to me how that works..
