Check out Imail from IPSwitch.... (www.ipswitch.com)

Runs on NT.. has web messaging built in, moderate list server
capabilities..... one of the greatest mailing lists.... and i know of two
add - on's that can be purchased (check the user written utilities section)
to do the auto account sign up......

Or you can code it in ASP, because the mail server has the option to use any
ODBC complaint database.....

i use it, and love it.

Hello!

Im trying to understand what's wrong with my preloader. I want the
preloader to load the music from three different swf-files (with the Load
Movie command) and THEN go on to the musicmenue. Now it just goes from the
loading screen on to the musicmenue and after that, the music is loads
(which means you have to wait a couple more seconds before you actually can
play the tunes).

I need help. I have all the files in a ZIP achive that's only 15k.

Thanks in advance,

Hello!

I want to preload the music I'm gonna use on my site, but the loader
doesn't understand that the three musicpieces has been placed in three
separate .swf-files. I have used the command "Load Movie", but the
preloader doesn't care about it. It just goes from the loading screen,
directly on to the menue and then load the tunes.

I want the loading screen to be shown until the music has been loaded, but
I have no clue of how to do it.

I have a zipfile that's 15k with all the nessesary files. If you can help,
which I am sure one of you professionals out there can, I'll mail it over

This tutorial might help you understand how to manage streaming in separate
movies, including how to have a loading movie communicate with the movie
that caused it to load: http://www.dartfrogmedia.com/if_frame/

in adobe premiere, you would simply export movie from the file menu. you
may want the video more compressed by using something like media cleaner

Hejsan!

I have a very strange problem with the properties/actions window:

Yesterday, I wrote an actionscript with the notepad, saved it as a
textfile and imported it via c&p into Flash on a friend's Mac. No
problem at all.

Today, I tried to c&p the enhanced actionscript into Flash on Win98
and it will not function (yes, the actionscript is in the clipboard.).

Did someone else already encountered this problem?

I reinstalled my system and IIRC, it functioned well some days ago
(before reinstallation).

Best regards,

Thorvald Neumann

You can't just copy and paste from a text file (on a PC anyway).
I assumed that on a Mac it would be similar, but I haven't tried it.

This is a common problem, but I've heard of a program out there
that will let you copy and paste actionscript to and from it. I'm
sure someone else on the list has the name or URL...

Can these projectors be run on a machine WITHOUT Flash/Shockwave plug-in

I think I should also reinstall FAST... <bashing head on keyboard> ... After
working 12 hours today with my PC, I suspect my brain is malfunctioning...

Does anybody know why MM disabled to paste "other text" into the
window? I really hate clicking the code together...

I hope this "feature" will be killed in the next version. Does anybody
know when this should be out?

Assuming the background color of the movie is black, have you tried putting
5 so so empty frames in the start of the movie? Also what is the data rate
of your first few frames? We had this problem with a projector that started
with a large bitmap, adding some empty frame to the start cleared it up.

First, make sure your timeline is selected, the File/Export/Movie, click the
settings tag and choose QuickTime (if QuickTime is not an option, you may
need to isntall/reinstall it). A few other things that will help if you are
having trouble: you may want to set your project settings to QT (esp. if you
are working on a wintel) with same time base, audio settings as you
exporting at. Also if you choose special processing in the export settings
window there are settigns there to help with interlaced video, resizing,
etc. The built in Soresnon isn't particualry good, best to export at high
quality and compress in a dedicated app. like MediaCleanerPro.
