My biggest problem with new windows is that they are
usually fixed in their size. Flash is easily scalable, so
this seems like a waste of Flash's abilities. It's also kind
of annoying on my 1280 X 1024 monitor as the window
shows up in one corner, and is almost too tiny to be
readable. I know 1280 X 1024 is not the average, but I
can gaurantee that one day it will be (in the next 2 yrs),
and those pop-ups will all need to be redone.
I guess I'm asking 'why?' in response to your 'why not?'...
Do they have benefits? I've never used them, and if there
is some benefit (aside from fixing the resolution for raster-
heavy SWFs), I'd like to be given a clue...
