I thought all that was being mentioned was that there was a drawing tool
missing. The pen tools are going into Flash 5, why not some additional
line/shape deformers? These transforms (and remember "transform" != "morph
over time") would be applied to static objects prior to being declared as a
file format of _any_ kind. More authoring/drawing tools, operating on
vector object components would simply be useful. If you can move a point
with the pen tool in Flash (5), theoretically you can move it with a
perspective tool.
Shape tweening would be a locigal avenue for getting perspective animation
(within the .SWF spec), once the shape was drawn.
You can do perspective transforms, in a one-fell-swoop, using either
Illustrator or Freehand, for later import to Flash. Photoshop (with paths)
also, for that matter. Flash is getting there...
