O.K., you asked for it. ;)

First of all, I do not like it when a site is taking over my desktop with
a popup window.

Secondly, it loads fast on a 56K-modem (even when loading a big MOV-file
in another window) and runs smoothly under Win98, NS 4.61, AMD K6-2 300.
The interface looks good (reminds me of Giger) and the mood is also
excellent. Gives it a mysterious feel.

Thirdly, you cannot design a site which runs equally well on all
systems and platforms. If you want to try this, then you will have a
textbased HTML-page only. ;)

What puzzled me, is the name "Avalon Design" which I mistook for a
design firm and not for a firm which sells music recording systems.
And looking at the interface, my first impression was "it must be a
site dealing with graphics and design". So I was a bit disappointed...
;)

The subpages break apart from the general look of the (interface)
design IMHO. I would have incorporated some elements of the interface
in the subpages.

BTW, it was the first flash site I have inspected closely which offers
information about products to users. Here in Germany Flash as a
webdesign tool is used mostly for trendy product presentations,
entertainment and perhaps sites of webdesign firms.

Normally, the German clients want information in the fastest possible
way (I really hope bandwidth is becoming better in Germany in the
next one or two years.).

Best regards,

Thorvald Neumann
