Huh??
I have DSL at home... DSL isn't analog at all, unlike a modem...
SO hence you need at least a DSL router and an ethernet card. No modem is
needed at all. The phone line is tied into the router and my computers
ethernet cards are plugged into the router. (Well, not directly, but I don�t
think anyone really cares about my home network topology!)
To the best of my knowledge cable is the same way, you need an ethernet card
and the basic cable router(I am pretty sure its all digital and does not
need to be demodualized(aka the "dem" part of modem) , but I might be wrong)
