Thanks John. You know, there's an ongoing debate on this list about
whether there are any good actionscript books out there. Flash 4 Magic
has some good code examples for people who already have an idea of how
to program and learn well by example. Flash 4 Bible is a good reference,
but again assumes a certain amount of programming ability already (I
think). The consensus seems to be that there aren't really any good
books (yet?) for learning actionscript from the ground up. Ken Sherwood
has started a list (actionscriptersegroups [dot] com) for people interested
in learning more about actionscript too, with the end goal of maybe
writing a book.
Thanks for your offer to make a pdf. If I ever get the page in a final
form (kind of doubtful, though, since I add to it whenever I learn new
stuff), I'll take you up on it!
