posters & photos are most intense bitmap uses of flash i've seen.

design is my 'commercial' section


all sections of site should stream within a couple of seconds on k56.

music should come on within 5 or so

& computer 0S & processor speed


have had a some good responses & minor problems

"major MIDI problem" post (not playing on NS on mac) was because dreamweaver

didn't insert autostart tag---now it plays, but mac NS users don't get

control bar, have to use control strip to turn down sound---nothing's

perfect


still know know if my server is extremely erratic

or if it's just the web in general


timed as much as a 12 X difference in total download time for photos,

which is 2.1 mb, a hang-up if someone wants to skim the pics fast


posters section is real test of processor speed---

i can count some of the frames on my G3 300---i've tried to make the

limitations part of the effect


many thanks to you all, i've been learning a lot reading the digests
