Have you tried Load Variables("text.txt","/mc1") ? That should get you the
root because of the / - if you need to load into mc2 I think it should be
/mc1/mc2

Subject: FLASH: Problem with loading text into textfield
Sael!
Any help would be appreciated.
The problem:
I have a flash site which loads a specific mc which does hold another
mc. This mc is the target for different load movie commands.
So, I am exchanging the dummy mc with my target which is an mc with a
textfield. At start, this mc loads text from a textfile into the textfield.
This functions normally when I use the mc as a stand alone using
Load Variables ("text.txt", 0).
What is the right command to use it in the following structure?
main mc
- second mc
- target mc (which shall load text from a textfile)
I have tested different path commands, but nothing worked. :(
Best regards,
Thorvald Neumann
